About Me

Back in April of 2017, I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication (Photojournalism) with minors in Philosophy and Journalism. A month later, I moved down to Alabama.

While I was there, I started working as an intern at Back Forty Beer Company and later became the Merchandise and Media Manager. I learned so much about the beer industry and graphic design world. Then fate lead me to a new job with Advantage Properties as the Director of Marketing and Agent Services.

​

Besides work, I have a few hobbies. Volleyball was a big part of my life; I was Kate number eight for eight years to be exact. I played on the Ohio University Eastern college team that won the Ohio Regional Campus Conference Championship for the first and only time in school history. I love Star Wars. In fact, I am in the process of a full tattoo leg sleeve and I collect memorabilia as well. It was a huge privilege to be in charge of the Force Fridays event series at Back Forty. Continuing with my passions, I started a ladies club called Social Sisterhood. This group seeks to bring together the women of Northern Alabama to network in an informal and inclusive environment. Our get-togethers are held at least twice a month at locally owned businesses in the Greater Gadsden area. Check out our upcoming events and magazine.

 

Overall, I’m just taking life one step at a time with my wonderful boyfriend. At the end of 2020, we made the decision to move to North Carolina to see what it had in store for us.
